Dutch studio MAXWAN designed three bus shelters with concave and convex “razor-thin” rooftops in Rotterdam aptly named “Canopies”. The pastel-pink Bus Station Canopies are located on a patch of tarmac outside a new bus terminus in Rotterdam Central District, providing seated shelters for 40 waiting passengers.
Commuters in the Swiss city of Aarau now enjoy the best of Swiss design as they wait for their buses. Design firm Vehovar & Jauslin Architektur, based in nearby Zurich, were commissioned by the city of Aarau to create a shelter that would complement the recently redesigned bus station.
