Weekly Review

Here’s our weekly review rounding up the best stories and ideas in public space from cities around the world. This week we bring you 101 small things you can do for your city, designing the future of play and how walkable cities are the best.

Designing the future of play
KaBOOM!, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting play in underserved communities, opened a competition this summer to cities, local organizations, and individuals to implement an innovative play space in their city. The winners receive a grant to develop and install their inspiring designs. (via CityLab)

Walkable cities are best
Smart Growth America, an advocacy group, and academics at the George Washington University School of Business, looked at the metrics and developed a report of America’s most walkable cities (via FastCo Exist)

Small things you can do for your city
