Jake
Jake Tobin Garrett is Editor of the OpenCity Projects blog. Originally from Vancouver, he is a writer and student now living in Toronto. Jake is currently completing his Masters of Science in Urban Planning, with a specialization in Urban Design at the University of Toronto, and also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. His interests lie in public transit, walkability, cycling, park design, and community engagement with public space. From 2007 to 2010, he was managing editor of Vancouver’s OCW Magazine, and now writes for both Spacing Magazine and Torontoist.
