Chinese artist Ai Weiwei is currently in Greece documenting the refugee crisis. He’s collected 14,000 life jackets left behind on beaches by migrants and wrapped them around the stately columns of the Berlin Konzerthaus.

Each life jacket represents a single refugee. The installation’s scale is meant to draw attention to the number of human lives affected by the refugee crisis.
